About me
Bella Greenbacher is a curator, journalist, and multidisciplinary artist from Northampton, Massachusetts. Her curatorial work focuses on feminism, surrealism, diversity, and socially engaged contemporary art, with an emphasis on amplifying misrepresented and marginalized artistic voices.
Drawing on her background as a practicing artist working in oil painting, watercolor, fiber, charcoal, photography, and digital media, Greenbacher approaches exhibitions with a sensitivity to material, symbolism, and visual narrative. Her curatorial perspective is informed by an interest in political and social critique, gendered expectations, and the overlooked beauty within everyday life.
Through both writing and exhibition-making, she seeks to create thoughtful spaces for dialogue around contemporary culture, identity, and expression.
