About me

Bella Greenbacher is a curator, journalist, and multidisciplinary artist from Northampton, Massachusetts, now based in Brooklyn, NYC. Her work focuses on diversity of perspective and socially engaged contemporary art, with an emphasis on amplifying misrepresented artistic voices and untold stories of cultural and historical narratives.

Drawing on her background as a practicing artist working in oil painting, watercolor, fiber, charcoal, photography, and digital media, Greenbacher approaches both exhibition design and journalistic coverage as an exploration of how visual culture reflects identity, memory and connection. With a sensitivity to material, symbolism, and visual narrative, her approach is informed by social and political critique, cultural expectations, and the overlooked aesthetic value within everyday life.

With a deep love and appreciation for all art forms, from music to painting to literature, Greenbacher seeks to create thoughtful spaces for dialogue around contemporary culture, identity, and expression.
